Foot Orthoses (FO)
Customized inserts or devices placed inside shoes to provide support, correct foot alignment, and alleviate various foot conditions or imbalances.


We provide both off-the-shelf and custom braces, and the Certified Orthotists at AMPOS will work with you and your prescribing physician to find the best orthopaedic solution for you. The custom devices are fabricated on-site by our experienced technical team utilizing a variety of materials.

A brace that supports the ankle and foot, often extending up the calf. It assists with walking by offering stability and controlling foot drop.


A specialized AFO designed for pediatric use, providing ankle and foot support for children with neuromuscular conditions or walking difficulties.

A brace that supports and stabilizes the knee joint, often used after injuries or surgeries to assist with rehabilitation and protect the knee.


Extending from the thigh to the foot, this orthosis stabilizes and supports the knee, ankle, and foot. It aids in walking for individuals with more extensive lower limb conditions.
Designed to support and stabilize the wrist and hand, often used for conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome or after injuries.
Braces designed to support and protect the elbow joint, often used after injuries, surgeries, or for conditions like tennis elbow.
Devices designed to stabilize and support the shoulder joint, commonly used after injuries or to aid in rehabilitation.
Braces that provide support and restrict movement in the neck after neck injuries or surgeries.
A brace that supports the neck and upper back, often used after cervical spine injuries or surgeries.
Extending from the neck to the lower back, this orthosis supports and stabilizes the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.

Supports the thoracic and lumbar spine, commonly used after injuries or surgeries to stabilize and align the spine.

A brace that supports the lumbar and sacral spine, often used for lower back conditions or injuries.
Used to protect the brain when part of the skull has been removed during surgery. The helmets have cut-outs to prevent the patient from getting too hot but plastic covers the area of the head where the bone is missing, protecting the fragile brain tissue from damage.


Modifications to shoes may be all that is required to help solve some issues and can sometimes be done to support other bracing. Some examples of shoe modifications include adding a rocker-bottom sole, a lift for leg length discrepancy, or adding a medial/lateral buttress or a wedge under the shoe.
Supportive belts designed to alleviate discomfort and provide support for individuals with hernias.
A specialized device or covering used to protect and manage fistulas (an unintended tunnel or passage that forms between organs, vessels, or tissues) often in medical settings to maintain hygiene and prevent infection.
